Dress Code

What and what not to wear at the club

Being part of or visiting a private members club is a privilege. It’s great fun too and there are so many different types of activities taking place every day that it can be difficult to know what to wear for each occasion. We’ve put together a number of simple tips so you won’t go wrong. Our general guidelines are that:

  • Members, visitors, young people aged 13 and over, and all others using Phyllis Court are required to be suitably dressed while using the club premises.
  • Under Bye-Law 38, it is the responsibility of our members to ensure that they and their guests are aware of our dress code and they comply with it.
  • Members responsible for children and young persons on the premises should ensure that the guidelines are interpreted sensibly and with due consideration to members.
  • Specific dress codes for certain occasions will be set out with the accompanying paperwork. You can see the dress code for Henley Regatta below.

Henley Royal Regatta Dress Code

Henley Royal Regatta is one of the highlights of the year and it is our custom to dress formally, in Regatta style. This is a tradition we cherish and wish to maintain.
