The Dance Club
The Dance Club is probably one of the smallest Interest Groups at Phyllis Court but is certainly one of the most active with meetings every week. The friendly and relaxed groups aim is to ensure that members enjoy their dancing and feel more confident on the dance floor.
Tuition in Ballroom and Latin American dances is provided for a range of abilities by qualified dance teachers. the Club holds tuition sessions every Monday evening.
The small annual membership fee also provides for Social Membership if no dance tuition is undertaken. The tuition fees for those Club members who have lessons are payable for a minimum of six weeks.
Dancing partners who are both Phyllis Court Members are invited to come along on a Monday evening for a trial session with no obligation to join. Unfortunately, because of the nature of the tuition it is not usually possible to accommodate individuals who do not have their own dancing partner.
The Dance Club organises both formal and informal dances - including Sunday afternoon Tea Dances and an annual Dinner Dance to allow Members and their guests to put into practice their well learnt steps.
So, Members who want to improve their Ballroom and Latin American dance should quickstep to the Dance Club at the Club.
